The location:

Where the German Wine Route ends, the road merges without obstacles into our neighboring country Alsace / France and 1 km later leads directly to the historic city of Wissembourg.

Between the 14th and den the 17th century, Wissembourg was one of the imperial cities of Alsace.

The river "Lauter" flows through the small, picturesque town with approx. 8,000 inhabitants and its many sights, such as the Abbey of St. Peter & Paul or the salt house of "l'Ami Fritz" from the 16th century and the classicistic town hall.

Every year, thousands of tourists from all over the world and especially many cross-border commuters from Germany come to stroll and linger, of course also to stop and spend the night.

Surrounded by the old city walls lies the romantic town with its Benedictine abbey founded in the 7th century, embedded in the foothills of the Vosges.

The medieval flair with old half-timbered houses and narrow streets has been preserved to this day. The many restaurants and cafés invite visitors to linger.

The hotel restaurant "AU CYGNE" is located in the middle of the old town opposite the town hall, winding and yet central, it combines the Middle Ages and the modern age and is still up to date.

Miscellaneous:

Parking spaces on the right side of the Rathaus-Hof, secured with a barrier that can be opened by the hotel operator.
