The Adler in Weil am Rhein was one of the top addresses in Germany for many years. Owner and star chef Hansjörg Wöhrle established the Adler and later the Spatz cellar restaurant in the top 50 restaurants in Germany. Prominent guests such as Chancellor Helmut Kohl, Prime Minister Lothar Späth, Gunter Sachs, Brigitte Bardot and many more came and went.

The Adler is centrally located in the old town center of Weil am Rhein at the foot of the Tüllinger Berg. The border crossing into Switzerland / Riehen is only approx. 800m and the A5 (Karlsruhe - Basel) only 5 minutes.

Because on the Rhine lies in the Rhine valley, in the middle of the border triangle, Germany, France, Switzerland and only a few kilometers to the respective national borders. The special location between the Rhine and the foothills of the Black Forest also favors an exceptionally Mediterranean climate due to its proximity to the Burgundian gate. Through the city of Basel and the culinary demanding Swiss guest, through the catchment area with about 1.3 million inhabitants, a lot of visitors come from Switzerland. The restaurant attracts guests from all three regions and far beyond thanks to the award-winning cuisine.
